They eat whatever you have of wool.
Once I made a mistake: I took great care of my new felt boots, but wore old, torn ones. When I decided to put them on, it turned out that moths had eaten them. Only the upper parts remained of them.
You should have thought to put orange peels, wormwood, or lavender there. But I forgot.
I had to buy new felt boots.
But it seems I really posted the wrong photo. I caught a large wood moth at my grandfather’s dacha, and this one in the photo is small, woolen.
 
Wonder where that is?? I know there are no horses allowed on beaches in my area.
Assateague Island! I've wanted to go there ever since I learned about it as a little girl. There are several kids' novels by Marguerite Henry about the horses of Chincoteague and Assateague Islands. I loved those books and read them over and over. The islands are still on my travel list.
