I don’t have a lot of electric gadgets for outside, and since I‘ve got arthritis is both hands and shoulders I have difficulty in holding heavy machines 😬 heavy meaning anything over 1 kg 🙈
Heh, fellow sufferer. :p And I have severe gout. True, I caused it myself - I got it as a result of constant gluttony. If you are prone to this disease, eating offal is contraindicated, but I ate exactly that. I would gorge myself on fried goat liver with onions, or buy chicken hearts in the store to fry them with garlic. There are various poultry farms here, they usually produce thousands of chickens for meat, it used to be customary to put hearts and liver inside in a small bag, but then they started selling them separately. And they are very cheap. If you translate it into dollars or euros, then for one dollar i can buy about 4 kilograms of these hearts, livers or chicken stomachs. I happily bought this, fried it in huge frying pans, throwing in a lot of garlic and gorging myself. I ate about 4 kilograms of fried offal every day. It was quite fatty and spicy food. Well, and then I was hit by severe gout, so much so that I couldn’t even walk. In order to feed the poultry and goats, I had to crawl to the barns through the snow to pour them grain or throw hay from the attic. I suffered for a long time, for two months I didn’t eat anything except oranges, and only later, when I went to the doctor, it turned out that I just needed to follow a certain diet. True, it took me about two more months before I returned to normal and was able to mix concrete again, carry logs and generally live my normal life.
Before I got sick, I really loved oranges and tangerines, but after eating only oranges for two months, trying everything from Moroccan and Spanish to Abkhazian, I realized that I was terribly tired of oranges and tangerines and I couldn’t eat them anymore. :)
To get rid of gout relapses, I had to introduce tea from meadowsweet, rose hips and hawthorn into my diet. At least I don't have to take pills.
One good thing is that hawthorn and rose hips grow here for free in abundance.

Wow , you have also gone through bad times 😓 I am not sure what causes my arthritis, I fear it may also be caused by sugary foods, and I have more than one „sweet tooth“, the doctors here would give me either cortisone, which totally trashes my immune system , is bad for my glaucoma and my sensitive stomach , or painkillers, which would also just give me ulcers, so I try to live as healthy as I can and hope for the best 🙏🏻
You do know gout can also be triggered by legumes?! Like lentils, beans and peas, and alcohol isn’t good either ( spirits and beer is especially harmful)

Rattlesnake Bridge near downtown Tucson. It's mostly for tourists (it doesn't really go anywhere, just from an arroyo to a small office building) but it's also on one of the main bike paths so I've ridden through it many times. Note the snake's tongue sticking out of its mouth on the ground.

When the bridge first opened, the head would hiss when you walked through and the tail would rattle when you walked past. It was kinda freaky if you didn't know about it! 😱 They stopped working at some point.
