that gum tree is beautiful

bantam pullets up in the trees to eat spanish moss

baby red slider.. found him stuck in some mud up side down in the garden & he was ready to go,lol.

took him down to the bayou

before all this rain came the other day, this water moccasin came up from the bayou

he made his way though the yard to the woods,we don't have any neighbors close.The chickens were on the other side of the house at the time.

Wow bayouchica, I'm not at all sure I'd like living in NE Louisiana... the turtle and Spanish moss look wonderful. The water moccasin does NOT!

I miss Spanish Moss. Whenever I drive home, as soon as I start seeing the moss, I know I'm almost there.

I wish I had something powerful enough to take a picture like that!

Thanks for the pics of those poisonous snakes... I used them to show my son how vipers have triangular shaped heads. We have water moccasins in our neighborhood due to the ponds here. Good lesson for him.

Now, why are those snakes still alive?
