This is a McDonald's Trash can in Japan ~ you dump the liquids/ice in the bowl on the front right, cigarettes in the funnel on the back right (smoking is still allowed in most restaurants there), plastics on the lower right and paper on the lower left. Perhaps this would be a good custom to have here in the US (not the smoking). In Japan you even have to separate your home trash like this too ~ separate containers for each type of recycling including cloth/clothing.
