One of my very good friends bought a house just one house away from railroad tracks, in a cul-de-sac. We LOVE listening to the trains passing! The former owner and the real estate agent said "no trains run after 10 p.m." but they lied. She/we didn't mind. Of course, she does have dual-paned windows, so we can still talk to each other as a train passes....I love trains. They are awesome.
Oh, I did that too, as a youngster! My DAD showed me how to overlap two pennies to get them connected together. Nifty. But I'm well over fifty, so that was a loooooong time ago.When I was a kid we used to put pennies and nickles on the track before the train came and they would get flattened pretty good. The we had a souvineer(sp?). We had to wait to pick them up cause they were HOT!
