I just wanted to know if there is any help needed or if no pips how I could hurt them or kill them by trying to help!

I've had to help one before, but only becuase it was setting in the egg for two

days straight chirping it's head off, and not moving. I finally helped it out around

day 23 or so. If you interfere when the baby doesn't need it, you could easily

break a vein and cause the chick to bleed to death. Plus - Ive always heard - Hatching is

the exersize that prepares the chick for the world. Do you actually have a chick that needs help?

Breaking veins is one thing. But it might also turn out the chick wasn't ready to hatch. And then it's very likely they won't make it.

ive tried helping chicks out before and they have survived but for the first few days out their feet were like curled in and couldnt walk well. i had to take him inside and put him in a shoe box with a heat lamp over it until he could walk. if you disturb a chick during hatching it doesnt get the strenghth its supposed to get from breaking the shell by itself.
