I am on my second batch of eggs in my little giant. Both times i have removed the automatic turner the temperature has increased. This doesnt make sense to me seeing how the motor would cause more heat? I have a circulated air kit in my bator. I am new to this and would like your thoughts on it. In my batch now a silkie hatched this morning and a few BCM eggs are pipping but my hatch day isnt until tomorrow. This is because of the temperature correct?

Well, I am sorry about that, but when you moved the lid, you must have altered something with the thermostat. I have had 3 and let me tell you that the thermostats are temperamental.

I have read when about half way through the hatch as the embryos grow they give off body heat so the temp will rise on the incubator. you can google it.
