Incredible Eggperment

    These eggs were gathered within a couple of hours from being laid, coated with petroleum jelly and submerged in a crock filled with a solution of water saturated with pickling salt and lime, then stored in the root cellar. That was in October of 2012, 23 months ago. Aside from being a little runny, they appear to be useable.

    Amazing, Western Edge, Can you give us a amounts used in the solution? [​IMG] And how about the taste? Is it much different?

    I did not taste the eggs but I will have to try it. I have the solution written down somewhere. When I find it I will post it. I do believe I found it on this site.
