I have 3 pekin duck eggs in my incubator right now, 7 days in. Yesterday I found my humidity low, and my temp high! (First timer here). Humidity was 30% and temp was 101! Problem is I don't really know how long the heat was up this high for! It was all good before i went to bed, I went to work the next day, and my fiancé found the spike late that morning. We cooled the eggs down by running them under cool water, I checked them that night and they all still appeared to be alive. My question is - how long will it take for an egg to die (if it's going to) after a heat spike? Am I out of the woods or could they still die?

You're welcome. Keeping it as close to 99.5 (with a fan) or 100.5 at the top of the eggs in a still air is your best bet.
Temporary cooling is much better than temporary temperature spike.
The following info may make you feel better.

I think my incubator once spiked to 104 for who knows how long, I panicked but hoped for the best and all of them hatched minus the one that pipped, zipped, and nacho dipped but couldn't finish breaking out of the shell and sadly died. RIP Little One. :(
