Hi, I work in a classroom and we have hatched chicken eggs before with the children but this year the eggs are already 22 days old and there is no movement or signs of that happening. Are we just out of luck or should we wait alittle longer. The Feed store that we purchased the eggs does not have anyone that knows what we should do. Does anyone know if we should abort the incubation?
Thanks, Janet

have you candled them at all during incubation..been turning the eggs before the 18th day...have enough humidity?

When you candled, is it all dark except the air cell? If so, you might want to wait another day or two. If your 'bator temp is a little low, you can get a delayed hatch. I had one egg hatch 3 days late. Also, did you include day 1 in your count? If so, then day 22 is really day 21.
