Incubated Eggs upside down

I thought for sure I had everything right for these guys! Humidity and temp have been perfect and when candled they are all doing amazing! I’m gonna get some sleep and then check on them again as soon as I wake up. I have a feeling a couple will need assistance as three of them have not made any more progress. It’s only been 12 hours though so I will give it a bit more time. Fingers crossed I wake up to some lovely baby chicks!

I just found this thread https://www.backyardchickens.com/threads/hands-on-hatching-and-help.1081034/ This is going to be maybe reading for the week as I have another hatch Friday and two with saddle air cells. I'm not ever going to end a stand and watch kind of person. So I'm accepting it and preparing myself. I really hope you do, 12 hours is nothing really. I went to bed and woke up to chicks and it was till in same place which was when I made my decision. Sleep well. We've got you!

I won’t be a sit and watch person either, I can barely keep my hands off as is but I don’t want to do more harm. Thank you so much I will update you first thing when I wake up!

Hoping for good news, I know they say big end up, but my girls sometimes lay eggs you can't tell which is which..lol, one of my incubators, they lay flat and are rolled from side to side, kinda like what the momma hen does. I've only tried helping once, ended up loosing the chick. I've read where they can take up to 24 hours. patience is not my strong suit.

I found this thread! https://www.backyardchickens.com/threads/my-chick-pipped-the-wrong-end-of-the-egg.727414/
Good advice here I think

Remember it can take longer. Sorry that must’ve have been a disappointment. Can you hear then peeping
I ended up helping the three out as they had externally pipped and made no prgress within 24 hours. They are all three up and moving very well! So I am hopeful they will be okay! I had 5 die so far, did the water test this morning and there were 4 that did not move. Let curiuosioty get the best of me and opened them up. Two did not finish developing and two seemed to have been fully developed but did not make it. One of the 4 that pipped externally died while trying to zip. I still have 14 eggs with no pips yet but I am certain they are all upside down.

Up and moving is awesome. My first hatch I got 3 healthy out of 12. 2 had deformed legs. I think problem was all different types of eggs so needed different environments. This time so far only 5 out of 12 look viable. Incubating is hard and cruel and...... wonderful

That’s how I am feeling too, but I tried letting my hen go broody for the first time and only one egg survived. One of the other chickens started eating the eggs! So if I can atleast get a few I will be satisfied. I really think knowing that I had them upside down that my next hatch will be much better. They were all developing beautifully!
