Incubating!! 15 days old!

@ronott1 Thank you! I'm not sure what you would call it, but does having the eggs divided like that in those ridges serve a purpose during lock-down? I've only ever seen eggs laid flat, but incubating is still very new for me.
I had to separate eggs when I hatched for a breeder. We had the eggs broken down by breeding pair.

These were set like that to hold the egg in the vest position for hatching. I use hatching trays or egg cartons at lockdown

So... just to be clear on info:

- on day 18 ITS LOCKDOWN TIMMEEEE!!
- keep humidity on 65-70
- on day 17 put pads down for chicks
- DONT help chicks when hatching
- try not to pee myself in excitement....

Does this sound right??:thumbsup
I would do all of the lockdown prep on day 18.

I'm exactly right there with you! :clap I set some eggs on the 8th too!

My incubator went out for 4 hours today...so scared that it will ruin them! But I still see movement on candeling...so I'm hoping for the best.

I use doggie pee pads when I go into lockdown. Super easy clean up and soft, semi-textured surface for the littles to walk and dry on (its wonderfully absorbent).
HEEEY! lockdown preparation tonight... I'm SOOO excited for the eggs to hatch... also VERY nervous!!
:wee:fl

Yay!:wee We should post pics on the same thread!! I have 9 eggs total, and I candled them today ( yes... under my big comforter) and saw that 2 of them must have stopped... but that's 7 eggs still! How many do you have??
Due to my incubator crash ordeal, I went from my original TEN eggs to now only four :hmm

:celebrate:clap me toooo! My eagerness and anxiety sends me through the roof at this point! I'll be staring at that darn incubator for these next few days... :fl
I've had some poor hatch rates using this particular incubator. This is a "last chance shot" with this machine (especially since its crapped out on this clutch once already - killing more than half - urgh!)

I'm wishing happy hatching to both of us! :fl
