Incubating and Traveling?

I have 3 2 week old duck eggs in my incubator, but I am leaving for CO (7 1/2 hrs) the week before they hatch.
Would it even be safe to consider bringing them in our diesel truck for 8+ hrs? This is my first batch and I want to see them all hatch, but I don't know if that would be safe?
Anybody with experience have an idea?

Are you going to be away on hatch day? If you're going to be home I'd leave them with a sitter until you get back. It's unlikely they'll hatch several days before THE day so you shouldn't miss anything. If you're going to be away from home on hatch day, then I must ask, what was your plan? Were you going to leave the hatchlings in the incubator until you got home? Was someone going to be home to move them to a brooder? I'm just trying to get an idea on where you're coming from here.
How do you plan on maintaining the temperature and humidity while you've got them in the truck? Humidity, in particular, is important while they are hatching.
Personally, I wouldn't do it. There's just too many things that could go wrong.
If you do take them with you let us know. I don't think there are too many "born in the back of a truck" stories for ducklings.

This is my very first time hatching, and when I put them in the incubator, I wasn't thinking about time frames then. I guess I should've been...

As long as you have a power inverter to run the incubator and can keep them from getting knocked around to much (Don't want them to crack before they hatch) you might be able to do it. Just remember to keep warm water on hand to keep the humdity up.
Though you run into the problem of also having to have a brooder and heat lamp for after they hatch.
I personally would rather drive around with hatched chicks than a bunch of eggs.

Make sure you take a box, heat lamp, feed and waterer with you, for when they hatch.
