Do blue laced red wyandottes have to be hatched out at a higher humidity?
In my last hatch I had a few different mutts and some BLRW eggs, and the mutts all hatched out fine...but the BLRW's seemed to have the shell 'stuck' to them and when they came out of the shell, they were sticky. I had to clean them up and even peel shell off them.
What went wrong?

BTW, they were all fine and I got 5!

But it was still a struggle.

Nope, all chicken breeds use the same humidity levels...nothing different....mutts always seem to hatch better and with more vigor than pures.......

I am putting down a new batch of all BLRW's today and I was worried. Thanks!!!

Do you by chance have any pics of a BLRW at 5 weeks old?

cancel that, someone emailed me and it turns out i have 2 boys

I can't wait to hatch some blrw bantams this fall. I got some from a guy who is experimenting with his colors, and they just didn't turn out like I'd wanted. I'd love to see pics of your older chicks too
