im going to start incubating eggs as soon as i get my incubator its a still air incubator and you have to put water in it for the humiditywhat is the lock down and can i open it to put water in if i run out and how long after they hatchdo i keep them in there this is my first incubating or hatching any thing so any tips with be thanked

Lockdown is usually on day 18 for chickens :) And to make sure that you don't run out of water, I'd just make sure that I put extra water in and maybe throw a wet paper towel or sponge in there, just to make sure that the humidity doesn't get too low.
You usually don't want to open the bator after lockdown; because that humidity is vital to the embryo's at this stage.

And if you have vents or plugs to let out some of the humidity if it gets too high, do just that :) Best wishes! :D
