i have a male and female quail. female isn't broody. bought an incubator, it came in Thursday around 3pm. put in 4 of their eggs, and plugged it in. WHAT TEMPERATURE CELCIOUS DO COTURNIX QUAILS NEED?! I put 37.5c, because that's the only temperature I saw(for bobwhites). please reply asap!!!

That temp will be fine. Question----is 4 all you plan to hatch? If not to keep from having a staggered hatch(thats a bad thing if not properly set-up)you should have collected eggs until you got all you plan to set/hatch---then put them all in the incubator at the same time---so they all hatch at about the same time. You can collect for a week---maybe a little longer if you will keep them cool and I turn/tilt the collected ones a couple times a day.

You should always plug your incubator in---let it run at least 24 hours to get the temp correct before adding eggs.

If your incubator has a built in meters---I would HIGHLY suggest you use another meter to check the built in ones.

What kind of incubator do you have?
