I was fortunate enough to have a neighbor incubate my eggs last year. Out of 13 duck eggs I only got 4 ducks. Since then I'm down to 6 ducks with one very stressed out KC hen! I'm currently incubating 7 of her eggs which would be either Khaki Campbell x pekin or KC x Rouen.

Now I lost many of my chickens due to IDK what, but I'm left with my Hamburg rooster and a RIR hen. Currently incubating 5 of those.\\ Fingers crossed. Today is day 3 and candling will be occurring...

Good luck! Fingers crossed! Did you need any tips or instructions on hatching? Also, did you start the duck eggs a week before the chicken eggs so they'll all hatch at the same time?

I had not! … I'm trying to track the process. I've never incubated before. Candling will be today so if I have to start over I will. I'm hoping for a lovely color and temperament with my chicken cross

So far all eggs are still viable! I placed the chicken eggs to the side of the incubator for lockdown while the turner keeps the ducks going.

2 of the 5 chicken eggs look like this!! I'm excited 😊

I set the eggs together so now I will candle the remaining duck eggs on Monday before lockdown.

My Hamburg x RIR chicks. They're all so uniform!
