Incubating eggs...Anyone want to join me

Does anyone know how accurate them wafer thermostats are? Will I be able to sleep knowing it can hold the temp at night or in daytime while I'm asleep or away from home?

I'm in! Just put in 11 Silkies and 3 unknowns using a homemade incubator. This is my first time ever incubating and am a nervous wreck!!

Welcome Wyogirl to this post and hope you have a great hatch. I just had someone drop one (1) baby chicken off today said someone gave it to her and it was a school project and they had to find it a home. Now my total of chickens is 35. Plus the ones I have in the incubator.I think I might be going somewhere.

I hope it's alright if I join in.

My first shot at incubating 14 eggs ended in tragedy when I candled them on day 17 and found nothing. They had all died at the early stages of growth, so I'm going to try this again in the homemade incubator I just built. I ran it for 2 days with a steady temp and Fri night the eggs went in. I have a mix of 6 bantams (silkies, Mille Fleur & Red Pyle) and 21 mystery eggs (barred rock, orps, americana, ???). After the first time I have been a nervous wreck keeping an eagle eye on the temps and humidity. I'm keeping my fingers crossed

Rebel I'm having same problem you are with the temp.So lastnite I ordered a Wafer thermostat off ebay for about $27 including shipping So when it gets here next week. I'll wire it up in conjuction with the other 1.Hopefully all goes well on next batch. Hope you have a better hatch this time. Good Luck

Here is a short video of my brinsea mini advance turning my eggs. I love it.
