Thanks for reading! Yesterday I recived some duck eggs (Indian Runner and Muscovy) via Greyhound. 4 out of 12 were broken beyond repair and one was slitely damaged but It should be fine. This is only my second time hatching and I was so excited :D I decided to candle them before putting them in the incubator, and it's a good thing I did. I discovered that ALL of the remaining eggs (8 of them) had ruptured air sacs! I am so diapointed about this. But I decided to give it a go anyway. I put them large end facing up in an egg carton. I am not currently turning them as I don't see how that is possible if they have to stay upright. I candled them agian last night and I saw that one of the embryos was already starting to grow :D Please let me know if there is anything else I can do to help them! Should I keep them in the egg carton while they are hatching or should I put them on their sides once they pip? Please tell me your experiences with carton incubation!
Thank you so much for your replies :)

Just thought I would make a quick update :) The eggs are on day 5 of incubation. I am so excited because 7 of the eight eggs are fertile! One of them was fertile and growing but he died :( Hopefully everyhting goes well and the rest of them and that they hatch without problems :D Thank you so much for that link Bigoledude! I wouldn't have been able to help them without it :)
I will keep you posted on what happens.
Thank you so much,
