Incubating eggs

So I’m attempting to incubate what I believe are Muscovy eggs. I’m on day 21. I candled them tonight and noticed a crack on one of the eggs which wasn’t there before. I can still see movement. Is there something I should be doing? Or just hope for the best?

You could try sealing the crack with candle wax or nail polish or even glue (like PVA). The danger is that the crack is a way for bacteria to enter the egg and kill the developing embryo so sealing it gives the embryo the best chance of making it to hatch.

We recently hatched Muscovy and we've really been enjoying them. They do take forever to hatch and all of ours were pretty much 36 hours from external pip until they started to unzip. Sounds like that's the normal timeframe for Muscovy ducklings, so prepare yourself for the wait. It's worth it.
