Incubating for egg color—success

The past year I have been crossing for egg color... anyone else experimenting?? Finally got a darker green!! BCM rooster with EE/CLB pullets

Cool experiment- I am hatching eggs myself but they are all from my white leghorn hen, so there won't be much experimenting going on. But it will be a surprise what color the chicks are going to be and what genes they take on.

that is my next project. I will use british araucana roo and bcm hens.

I bred my RIR rooster with my EE that laid blue eggs. Out of the 2 eggs that hatched, One lays olive green eggs and one lays pink eggs.

You have a beautiful variety of egg colors.

if you breed your pink layer to a blue egg roo you should get gray layers.
