Well five out of six eggs hatched. All six eggs were fertile. For some reason the fourth egg didn't hatch. I haven't opened it to see why. It looks like it pipped internally, but didn't break through the shell. I did have to help number six yesterday. It broke the shell but not the membrane? It was a bit odd. It almost looked like there were two, one on the inside of the shell and one on the chick. I broke through both and allowed it to break through the rest of the way. It's now fluffy and dry in the brooder with it's siblings. The newer three eggs are developing normally. The small goose egg doesn't seem to be developing at all, so I think I'll chunk that one since it has been over a week and there are no veins. It may have been mishandled before I got it set. I'm not sure. But over all I'm pretty pleased with 100% fertility and five out of six eggs hatching for my first rodeo.
