Incubating Guinea eggs

I'm incubating my first batch of guinea eggs...well, first batch of any eggs! I have an automatic turner. How should the eggs be placed in the turner? Sideways? Fat end up? Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks a bunch!

The pointed end of the egg always goes down. The air cell is on the big end of the egg and it has to be on top for the baby to breath in the late stages of incubation.

Ok next question! I already have seven eggs that pipped(late last night)...how long will it before they actually hatch? I wasn't prepared for it to happen so soon! Mama hid her nest well and must have been brooding a lot longer than I realized!

It can take 12 to 24 hours for an egg to hatch after pipping. I assume you have taken them off the turner by now. They need to lay flat on their side for hatching. Make sure your humidity is at least 65%.
A lot of my guinea eggs have been hatching on day 25 or 26 although some of them may take 28 days.
