Oh my gosh, why would anyone want to hurt something like that? I just saw it kept foxes away, I didn't know it might hurt them! Well, I guess if there are dogs, you can't. I wonder if there are any other ways to prevent foxes from coming around then..

Ok I went and found the article. It's from Seattle in 2013. Apparently the apartment complex owner was annoyed at the residents for not picking up their dogs' poop off the lawn so the person put cayenne pepper on the grass, but they didn't dilute it and used way too much. It does do some damage in quantities such as what this person used. One dog had to be taken to the vet for burns to their paws. But apparently, if only using the correct amount and whatnot it should only deter, not harm.
