I candled yesterday (day 14). I removed one egg that showed a small crack and some weeping.
I saw several that had only a dime to nickel sized dark spot or "eye". It seems like that would be some that stopped developing like a week ago. Should I take those out now or give them another day or two? My gut is telling me they are gone but I also don't want to make the mistake to remove a viable chick. I basically am afraid to make any and every mistake it being my first time. 😫 I also am having a hard time seeing really good veining in many eggs but don't know if my candler is just not bright enough? We're using the one that sits on the lid of the incubator. We have seen many that are obviously doing well, so if they aren't at the same phase in comparison do we toss them??
Any help for my nervous newbie brain would be so appreciated. 🙏🏽❤️

You just can’t rush incubating. Consider it like a fine wine and allow nature to do her thing. I’ve been hatching for many years and just never can outguess mother nature. I have actually pretty much stopped candling at this stage because what I thought was a goner turned out to be a hatcher.
