Incubating problems

I've heard that too. Day 23, even!

Ugh the wait is killing me! What type of incubator do you got? I just got a cheap 40$ little giant still air incubator.

I made it myself *is proud*

It's a styrofoam box with a 20 wattt lightbulb, 1-2 bowls of water (depending on how humid I want it), and a thermometer and hygrometer in one... I probably should have gotten 2 thermometers, though. Anyway, it works pretty well, and I can adjust the temp a bit by putting the styrofoam lid on partially, or even poking holes in the side.

Wow cool I don't think I'm skilled enough to make one myself! I have only 1 thermometer hygrometer in one too as well. The thermometer that came with the incubator was WAY off so I just have one. I think On day 24 I'll water candle them to see if there is anything in there. If I don't get a any more hatches I might get more eggs, speaking of witch where did you get yours from?

I got mine from ebay, someone called PastReminders. I'm pretty sure they also run vailsquail.com

I got mine from barn of angels also on ebay. I'd recommend them if you hatch again! She is very nice and her button quail are very pretty!

I was actually considering her! I just found that the other one had them for 11$ and free shipping.

Oh nice, if the eggs I have don't hatch I'm getting from her again I don't blame her, I blame myself for opening the incubator and putting the water dish in there. Just a warning you might already know this but if you have a water dish in there for humidity TAKE IT OUT!! I feel really stupid for letting that happen I had read they drown in there own water dish I should of known. v,v

Well, I have small bowls, but I really doubt the chicks would be able to get in them. Even so, one of them has a sponge they could stand on.

I would not risk It! I thought he could not get in it either... As soon as they hatch I would take them out and replace them with more sponges. But best not to take them out until they hatch. Oh do you plan to hatch again? If so you should try the water bottle technique! Just put 2 water bottles next to the eggs. And you're right about the climbing on the sponge thing my little guy climb on the sponges and leaned against the water bottle and went right to sleep he was so cute I wish he didn't die.
