Cool. I'm not setting any unless I forget about what it was like to process them, or need to replace my birds!Haha. I loved hatching though. Definitely the most exciting bit

How did you process yours Lindsay? Have to say, they look awesome on a bbq! Mine have started laying again so might set more eggs soon.

I just use a pair of gardening shears... : / and skin them. They were delicious! I wrapped them in foil half way through with onion and peppers so they wouldn't dry out.

Rolling them in olive oil lightly before you grill also helps keep them moist.

Hard and fast, that's all there is to it. At first you'll probably pop the heads off (thats better than dropping a half choked bird and having to see the look on it's face) but you'll learn to use just the right amount of force to get it to separate from the spine.

Has anyone used one of these?

With the plate attachment the opening looks small enough for even quail sized birds. Seems like a quick, easy solution to humane dispatch of food animals. Their second video shows it being used on a rabbit. I've not had to process any of my quail yet, dreading the job...
