I have 18 eggs in my homemade incubator, a few of them are 6 days old now and most of them are 4 days old. Should i be seeing veins in any of my eggs? I see some dark spots and the air cells are getting bigger but i dont see veins in any of them. Help me please

You should atleast see some veins and about a pea sized embryo in there aswell. Wait until 7 or 8 days to candle and thats when you should know for sure if any didn't develope/how many did develope.

Goodluck!

I personaly don't trust myself when it comes to candling my eggs.

So what I do is wait till lockdown then there is no questions as to weather or not they are developing.

Good luck with your hatch.

The dark spots are probably the embryos developing in there. Four days is very early and sometimes it's hard to see the veins that soon in the incubation. But if you're seeing tiny little black dots then I'd say your eggs are developing just like they should be...

I usually do not candle that early. I like to wait until Day 10 and candle once more before Lock Down.

One time I was candling some of my eggs and then I decided to candle at Day 5. Really did not expect to see much but I did see veins and I could see the black dot. If you are not sure, wait until Day 10.
