Hi I just put my first hatch in the bator and I was wondering what my humidity should be?? My temp is a steady 99 degrees F

Unfortunately, there is no right answer for this. Everyone has a different % they keep theirs at according to what type of incubator and how they are incubating (still air, force air or dry hatch).

You may want to read 101 to hatching by BYC. About half way down the page it give recommendations on how to balance your humidity to reach your ultimate goal. https://www.backyardchickens.com/a/hatching-eggs-101

Their are a couple of hatch-a-long threads going on right now, if you are interested in hatching with fellow members...

What kind do you have? Where do you live? Are you incubating chicken or duck? I pretty much dry incubate mine until lockdown. I keep the humidity right at 30% or so Then I increase at lockdown depending on what I'm incubating.
