My daughter is incubating shipped eggs for the first time, any tips for a good hatch? She has had great luck with her still air little giant hatching out eggs from her girls, but this is the first time actually spending money on eggs. She has pyncheon and faverolles eggs in transit right now! She is very eggcited!

Many will tell you to let them sit for 12 to 24 hours pointy end down in a carton prior to setting them. Also the incubator needs to be up to proper temp prior to set.

Last time I took them right from the box and put them directly into the turner in the bator. I had a good hatch.

This time 85% of most of the eggs I candled at day 10 are still in the bator. Of course I do have turners for all of my bators and I think that helps them "settle" right away, at the same time that they are getting warm.
