I’ve ordered 6 black copper Marans and 6 salmon Faverolle from eBay, first time doing this, yesterday my first delivery came and I have set up my incubator and it’s running correctly. My other eggs was supposed to arrive by 8 pm yesterday but they didn’t so I know I have 24 hours to get these bcm in there, I'm hoping the other eggs arrive today is it safe to add them after 24 hours to allow them to readjust after their rides? I also have in my bator 2 drink bottles of water as radiant heat they are currently on top of my turner is this safe on the turner especially when I add the eggs.

oh and if I can add the later eggs how do adjust at lockdown

thanks

Just let the first ones sit with the others when they arrive, it won't hurt anything to leave the older ones out an extra day so you set them all at the same time. As long as you set them within 10 days and store them correctly you won't have any bad effects on the hatch. If you set them all at the same time they'll hatch together. Those are some cool breeds, have fun!

So today Good Friday I went ahead and placed my Maran’s in the bator. I’m really losing hope that my Faverolle will arrive in time or at all, I’m still praying they arrive this weekend EBay said April 9-11 but the seller said the 8 and tracking said the eighth also. This is making me pull my hair out

Aw, sorry you're having such a hard time. Have you tried contacting the seller? If they do arrive you can probably lock them down together.

Update

eggs arrived today after all

2 broken 1 cracked

I’ve heard I could put some candle wax on it and might be saved

the eggs were not pointed side down I would have preferred them to be bubbled wrapped also instead of paper towel

Please see photo

What a bummer! Shipped eggs are always a gamble but that's just unfair. I'm sorry you have to deal with this.
