Incubating shipped eggs

So, as luck would have it... a great deal on shipped hatching eggs popped up and I jumped on it. The eggs will arrive today (just ordered yesterday) but as I count the days... even letting the eggs sit for 24 hours, that would make my 21 days fall on a day that I will be out of town..... Can I let them sit longer (an extra day or two?) before I place them in the incubator? So my days will work out where I will be there at hatch and to monitor humidity? GAH!

Depends how old the eggs are when the arrive. From what I’ve read eggs can stay fertile for up to 2 weeks after they are laid.
