I found that my quail hatch in stages. I had 80-some coturnix eggs in the incubator. 30-some hatched in one night, then nothing all day long. The next night another 30-some hatched. Same thing happened with my california quail. All seemed to hatch only at night.

Anyone else experience this?

Well nothing as of this morning. We'll have to see how they do on the float test tonight.

Looks like the float test won't be needed. Got a call from the boys and they said at least 7 or 8 had hatched!

Well, you really gave us a scare there! Congrats, I'm glad some of them were viable and hatched for you.

This hatching thing is nervewracking!
