Incubating with tap vs distilled

I was wondering if there is really a difference in using distilled water or tap in an incubator for humidity. A hen isn't really the cleanest of animals. I see eggs hatched in chicken poop all the time. Anyone ever hatch with tap water ?

I use tap water and we are on a well, not village water. Haven't had any issues.

It only makes a difference in the amount of buildup in your water pan, if you have minerals in your well or city water. We have and use well water.

I’ve been using nestle pure life water bottles, could that affect anything? Haven’t been able to buy distilled
