I plan on incubating a few geese eggs later this year, I own a Hovabator 1588 Genesis W/ regular egg turner. I have never hatched eggs before, so geese will be my first shot. I have read as much as possible and own a few books on the subject, but I figured I should hear it from the people who do it on a regular basis. I simply need the basics and then the in-depth info. Everything you can give me on incubating geese eggs would be incredibly helpful.

First off, the universal egg turner trays are too small for goose eggs. They do make goose egg turner racks for the genesis' turner, but you have to order them seperately. I think most people turn them by hand.
Geese need a much higher humidity than any other fowl, even ducks. At least 65% during incubation, 80%+ for hatch. You have to mist them daily with warm water until they pip the shell.
Temperature is the same as for other birds, 99.5 forced or 101.5 still air. This is taken level with the top of the egg.
Do not help a gosling hatch, you will most likely kill it by trying to help. They can take 1-3 days after external pip before they hatch.
