Aww, congrats! I'm sorry to hear about the deformed ones, I hate culling as well. But it has to be done. I'm really gald a few chicks pulled through. I'll bet it makes this stressful hatch worthwhileView attachment 1280821 Ok last update on this, I had 18 eggs to start off and I discarded some that were mashed in shipping or looked clear on day 10, so I had 11 eggs by lockdown. Two chicks I culled because of deformities (one with an entire yolk and a fair share of guts hanging out, the other wasn't moving its legs) and a third chick is currently wearing hobbles because of a splayed leg. In total a 50% survival rate. I guess it's not terrible considering the number of things that went wrong along the way, starting with shipping through freezing weather... but I will take greater care with the temp next time, culling chicks is no fun at all
