Sounds like it might need an assist. What you did so far was right. If you see blood it needs a little bit more time.
Be prepared for any outcome. I've had this go both ways. I had one last week that pipped outside the air cell and took more than 36 hours to hatch. At 24 hours I chipped away a little bit, saw blood, and stopped. Waited 12 more hours, then peeled off around half of the shell, and put it back in. Little one was able to push out the rest of the way on its own.
Another time, I tried to help one that had pipped and not made progress zipping, and found that it had developed wrong, with intestines on the outside. It was alive and we had to kill it. Kind of a bummer.
