Incubation Surprise

It's day 16 because last month had 31 days and as you see the pics i had the record there..i feel like this is unusual because before incubating them i candles all of them

Incubation starts one full day after they are set, the first day is day 0.

But the incubator reading is 16 of which there has no blackout on electricity so i think thats the date

They've been in the incubator for 16 days but only have 15 days worth of incubation. An egg doesn't start developing immediately after you put it in an incubator, it takes about 20 hours for it to start developing. :]

What part of the world are you in? Just the state if in the USA or country if outside USA?

If you have a fully formed chicken chick it had to get some heat prior to being placed in the incubator from somewhere??? I would think??

Okay i will consider this then.if i feel not safe i can manually turn them

Day 14 is when they start positioning for hatch and I’ve seen some debate that it’s better to stop turning earlier than day 18. Not sure if its generally true but in your case seems best. Good luck with the rest of your hatch. I’m curious about your indigenous chickens. Where are you located?
