So I just put in 41 eggs In to the incubator temp was holding everything was fine. This was about 11pm, I checked again around 1130. For whatever reason I was up at 2am and decided to check on the incubator. My temperature prob had fallen into an area of poor circulation, upon placing the prob in the right spot the temperature jumped to 106. I quickly reacted by spraying the eggs witn water and hydrogen peroxide that was at room temp. I am not sure how long this was going on for but we can assume it was a max of 2 hours. also I wanted to add that as soon i reposition the prob the heat kicked off and gradually climbed to the 106. What do you guys believe will be the result? have I lost the hatch? If anyone has had a similar experience i would to hear the end result. Thanks everyone.

I once had my temps go to 107 - 108 for no more than 12 hrs and I still had a 100% fertility and hatch rate Not saying this would be the case for you but don’t lose hope 😊
I did change incubators when I noticed the incubator going crazy with the temps.
This was on day 7 for my eggs. They were chicken eggs.

That you this is reassuring, hopefully things will be ok. I failed to mention they are Jersey Giant eggs

Good luck. It happened early in the cycle, so little development yet. BJG eggs tend to be a bit larger, and it would take awhile for the core of the egg to reach the outside incubator temp. You are likely fine since you caught it quickly.

Agreement thats kinda what I am hoping for. since it was the first few hours of incubation the core may have not equalized to the temperature of the incubator. I candled an egg this morning kinda early to tell but some development is visible.

Autocorrect does provide for some humor!

Also, if you want to tag a person, use "@" in front of user name, like this @Msorto
will do. I'll keep an update of the hatch, just incase someone else falls into a similar predicament

good news. so far I have only found 2 eggs that are bad. one due to a fracture and another i believe has a blood ring. The pictures are of 2 different fertile eggs. hopefully they continue to develop.
