right peeps im on day 20 with a few duccle eggs, the question i have is regarding the humidity when the chicks have hatched? do u keep the humidity at 50_65% when they have hatched if so how long for or do u drop it or what? im new to this, chicks looks like there growing strong, many thanks Emma

The higher humidity stays high til they all hatch. You may even want to consider bumping it up a little more. I typically run at 75% for lockdown.

as soon as chicks start hatching out your humidity will get a natural boost from the chicks themselves, don't make any adjustments, they'll dry and fluff pretty quick even in the high humidity.

You will get a natural humidity jump when chicks hatch that's true. But 50%-65% is a little low IMO. You may have chicks that get sticky and possibly stuck if it takes them a little longer to hatch and the membranes dry out. Raising the humidity will not harm anything but if it is too low they can potentially get glued in their shells.

well the humidity was mainly 65% but always spiked to 70%, i candled the egg this morning and the chick wiggled but about an hour ago my husband candled it because he wanted to see and i didnt move at all! my husband used to be a bird breeder and he says its because theres no room in the shell? will the chicl be ok, maybe its sleepy? i dont know, what should i do? x

Toward the end there is not much room. Movement will be decreased. Also they do go through sleep cycles. Since you are on day 20 I think it would be best to leave in the Bator now. No need to really candle until hatch is over and you are trying to confirm before cracking them open.

i had movement yesterday morning but nothing since, i did the nail tapping on the air sack bit but didnt hear anything nor see anything, my humidity is now at 75% and now im on 21 days what do i do, when do i need start helping the chick or how long shell i leave the egg before giving up? this is the only egg as the others died so i dont want to give up, xx
