So this is my first time incubating eggs, I am using a Nurture Right 360. Does anyone like that incubator or have a favorite? Also my incubator has an egg candle on top but to use it you need to take the egg out. Can you handle the eggs at all during incubation? Thanks!

It's fine to handle eggs during incubation. Hens get off of their nests for up to two hours a day, so the eggs can handle cooling off for a bit. However, if you're having trouble keeping a steady temp/humidity, you might want to leave the eggs as they are.

Number one thing I've noticed experienced hatchers recommending is a backup hydrometer and thermometer, because you can't always trust the first one. They're relatively cheap. (I don't incubate anymore, and it was a slipshod operation when I did--my hens can handle it.)
