Well our after school hatching project was a flop. Only 3 eggs hatched out of the original 36. I have 19 eggs sitting next to me, all with developed, dead chicks inside of them. I don't know what happened but the 10 year old foam incubator that we used wasn't the best option in my opinion. I'm looking for a new bator to try this again and I need some suggestions. I've been looking at the Brinsea's but I just don't think that my boss is going to let me spend that much. What bator works for you? Thanks!

I use a Brinsea Octo without a turner. You turn the incubator itself by hand, and I never open it but to candle. The temps are reliably constant, and you can manage the humidity pretty well. It is within the same price range as the styrofoam ones. I have really loved using this bator.
(This unit cost me 130.00 with shipping. Look at the site, as they are often on sale, and I just ead they are at 99.00)

LG is VERY VERY VERY hard to keep the temp constant in!!!! I used 1 until I found another. I only use it for lockdown and hatching now. I found a used sportsman for $200 on craigs list.

Good luck and God Bless!
