Incubator advice?

Our chickens aren't laying yet, but we bought a little giant still air incubator and egg turner, I seen that there is a fan kit that you can buy for it... I am wondering if it is necessary or can I make do without it?
We have EE's right now that we may want to start with, but since I am becoming addicted to my chickens I am considering trying some new breeds eventually...

yeah the still air has been great for me, when i used it, i didn't have a fan

use a PC fan they work great & last forever, & dont cost 1/2 as much.

If your house is thermostat controlled then a still air incubator is fine but if the house temp changes then so will the temp in a still air incubator. http://cmfarm.us/stillair.html
