My usual homemade incubator is a little small for hatching out the amount of chicks and keets I need and is very prone to major temperature change. I am in the the process of building one that is larger and less prone to temperature change, however I need some advice on the heating control of it. The new incubator is 16 inches wide, 16 inches long, and 39 inches tall. I plan to have a medium sized water pan in it to provide humidity (I may need to change it depending on what the hygrometer says). For heating I want to have two 75 watt light bulbs, one on the top and one on the bottom of it. One problem I ran into with it is that if I should use a water heater thermostat on one light bulb, both light bulbs, or neither of the light bulbs. What do you think?
