Incubator anti-slip?

So, at the moment I have an 'anti-slip' mat that came with my incubator, but it isn't the best - the eggs don't grip on it very well and after i turn them they sometimes roll across it...
I'm thinking this isn't the best thing as I can see them all rolling around crazily when it comes to hatch day, so my question is can i use wood shavings on top of the mat to make sure they don't roll around too much? Sorry for asking so many questions lol and thanks.

I wouldn't. It won't hurt the eggs if they get moved by the other chicks during hatch. It happens.
