We need to bug balm but I'm worried about my eggs & incubator. We have a huge Montgomery Ward Incubator. It's made of wood. Would Bug Balming be bad for the eggs?

If the eggs are beyond a few days, yes you will poison the eggs, or chicks. They get their air from the house. If it's poisoned enough to kill bugs in the walls - yep you will kill the chicks.

Thank You so much!
My incubator holds about 1000 eggs so I have different ages of eggs on each rack...
I guess I could remove the eggs & move the incubator outside until it's done... Move it back in after it all aired out & everything... I just hate stopping incubation... I do think we'd have to do it another day though because I have chicks hatching right now... ugh

When I was a kid, my parents bug-bombed the house. I covered my fish tank but...being young...didn't think to turn off the air pump...it killed every one of my fish.

I know chicks aren't fish, but I do believe the poisoned air will get in through the porous shell to the baby chicks, and it will poison them.
