K so I am building an incubator (I have another post on all the reasons why). I'm gonna pick up a styrofoam cooler today and then My mom is picking up a water heater thermostat and a light kit. IS there anything else I need to get for the heating part of. I'll get a pan for humidity and some holes for ventilation. I'm not gonna add a fan at this time. What else do I need? my understanding is you hook the wires on the light kit to the thermostat and then the thermostat has a plug in that you put into the wall? Is that right? or do you have to buy a plug in and connect it to the thermostat that is connected to the light kit? Let me know if i'm on the right track here. I have always just bought incubators But when tragidy strikes! lol So I just need a little help as i've never done anything like this before!

P.S. I will turn the eggs by hand

If you buy a bottle lamp kit, it comes with a 6 foot cord. This is the cord that gets plugged in and then runs to the thermostat

bottle lamp kit? where can I get that? could you give me a model # somewhere? what is the difference between that and a normal one? My mom will be at home depot/ walmart today

It's just a kit with everything you need to make a lamp. They have them at walmart and lowes probably home depot too.
