Hello everyone i have a dilemma with my bator and hope you guys can help me!

I have a 20 egg fan assisted bator and six days ago I was given 6 cream legbar eggs which I set in the bator.
I Am no candling expert but as of last night I could not confirm any chicks were growing!

The dilemma is I have just been given 6 blue laced wyn eggs which I hav been trying to get for ages!

The dilemma is
1 do I just bin the legbar eggs which I must admit I don't really want to do
2 if I add the new eggs to the bator with a 7 day gap! Will the increase of temp and humidity for two days for the legbar kill the other eggs

Or do you guys have any other ideas

Thanks in advance

You can have eggs with different due dates in at the same time. I have a friend who does staggered hatches. He adds around 4-5 eggs every other day and remove the chicks as they come, replace them with fresh eggs... He's had spectacular hatch rates so far.

That's brilliant news thank you for your quick response!

So just to confirm I raise temp and humidity as normal then once chicks removed I lower temp and humidity back to normal levels?

Rather leave the temp and humidity constant throughout.

also I use a pencil to write the lock down date on the egg so I know when to put eggs in the hatcher which is just an LG incubator

I don't raise my temp. for lockdown. You can leave your humidity alone and raise it when you get you're first Pip instead of start of lockdown. That way the second batch wouldn't be in the higher humidity as long.
