Okay i just set some quail eggs last night the temp was around 98 all night so i adjusted it around noon and took a 2 hour nap when i woke it was at 106. Do they sill have a chance. I took the lid off asap and cooled them for about 5 mins.

Hi there.
I would keep them and hope that they hatch.
They still have a chance.
Is the temperature back to normal?
How long is left in the hatch?
Goodluck,
Fionn.

They have been in for about 24 hours now I have the temp at 91 and am trying to work it back up just a degree at a time but it is an older little giant and if you trun the knob like 2mm it jumps about 5 degrees very sensitive.

I think you should you should try and
Candle them tonight and if there are some eggs
Growing then I would keep them in there.
Goodluck
Fionn.

i candled 3 last night and found veins in one so maybe things will be okay. I have the temp set the best i could which is at 98.7 i know it is a little low but better then cooking them.

Okay so i candled today and saw around half with veins some are to dark to see in but a lot have cracks the person i got them from said she candled before she sold them to me and none where cracked i dont think so but what ever. some are very clear and i am wondering if i should go ahead and take them out it is day 5 out of 17

Hi there.
I think you should keep the ones in there with Veins,
And throw out the clear eggs.
Are the cracks internal or external?

They still have a chance. But my personal opinion is get a different incubator. I had a little giant once and it was terrible.

2 eggs hatched out of 24. And I had to help those 2. I have had better luck with a foam cooler and a light.
