I see that people use computer fans I can get some cheap ones from the computrt repair store but the guy tells me I need to know what kind I want and how am I gpoing to hook it because he don't think it will work...little does he know... But can any one tell me how to wire it to a regular 110v plug and what kind of computer fan to get, i want hubby to bulid me a big bator...lol big enought to hatch more of my cute little ducks and some chicks here and there. I looked at some of the designs on BYC but they don't say much about how to wire up the fan and what kind...Any help- Thanks in Advance...

I used a 3" computer fan in mine. It is 12v dc. I used an old printer power supply that converts 110v ac to 12v dc. it's just a matter of connecting the 2 wires from the power supply to the fan wires. Mine runs all of the time.

Here is a link to directions.

I found that the fans in the newer PC won't run on a cell phone charger. I found some really nice fans (I work in IT at a school) that looked like they would put out some good air flow, but the chargers couldn't run them. You want to find an old PC fan, and a CPU cooling fan, not the fan that is in the case for the power supply. It will probably look similar to this one.

I put 2 in mine. One at the floor level, and one at the top.
